TechEmbassy designs and delivers curated event series around major technology conferences, industry gatherings and decentralised event weeks.

We began with a founder-led initiative to give early-stage companies a stage. From there, we developed a broader model: focused side events that connect startups, investors, corporate leaders and ecosystem organisations across industries and regions.

It started with a stage for founders

TechEmbassy did not begin with a plan to build an international events company. It began with a more immediate goal: to help founders be seen and heard.

As a startup founder, Volodymyr Demianenko had experienced first-hand how difficult it can be for an early-stage company to raise capital, build the right relationships and gain international visibility. Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, these challenges became even greater for Ukrainian founders trying to remain connected to global markets.

UAtech was created in response — a nonprofit, founder-to-founder initiative supporting technology companies with Ukrainian founders.

The first events took place in Vancouver. Their purpose was straightforward: give founders a stage, introduce them to investors and help them become part of the international technology ecosystem.

Those early events developed into UAtech Venture Night, an international series that continues today. UAtech provided the original purpose, practical experience and foundation from which TechEmbassy grew.

From a founder-led initiative to a repeatable model

As we developed UAtech and organised events around international conferences, we began to see a broader opportunity.

The global technology industry increasingly gathers around two types of events. The first is the large, centralised conference that brings thousands of founders, investors, corporate leaders and industry experts to one city. The second is the decentralised event week — such as New York Tech Week — where dozens or hundreds of independently organised events take place across a city.

Volodymyr had spent years attending conferences around the world from different perspectives: as a visitor, an exhibitor, a startup founder pitching on stage and, eventually, an event organiser.

Across those experiences, the same gaps appeared repeatedly.

Many side events brought together interesting people, but were organised as one-off initiatives. They often lacked a clear subject, a deliberately selected audience, a considered programme or an environment suited to meaningful conversation. Some were excellent, but few organisers could deliver a consistent standard across different cities and markets.

At the same time, the potential of the format was clear. A smaller, focused event held alongside a major conference can often create better conditions for a valuable conversation than a main programme attended by thousands.

TechEmbassy emerged from the combination of these experiences: the founder-led purpose of UAtech, an understanding of the side-event market and a team with the product and operational expertise to build a more systematic model.

We work where industry attention is already concentrated

We do not aim to create another isolated conference. We work in the places and at the moments when a professional community is already gathering around a city, an industry or a major international event.

Our Event Series are developed around leading technology conferences, industry weeks and decentralised event formats. Each event stands on its own, with a defined purpose, audience, subject and programme. Together, however, they form something larger.

We see TechEmbassy as a connection between conferences, cities, industries and people.

The technology world is global. Founders, investors and corporate leaders meet repeatedly throughout the year, across different events and regions. Rather than concentrating our work in one city, our series move across North America, Europe and Asia, creating a continuous international journey.

Someone who first encounters TechEmbassy in one city should be able to reconnect with the same wider community in another. A conversation that begins at one event can continue at the next. Over time, individual meetings become part of longer professional relationships.

In this sense, TechEmbassy is not limited to what happens in a single room. It is a growing network of events and relationships connecting different parts of the global technology ecosystem.

TechEmbassy develops repeatable Event Series, each built around a specific industry, audience and purpose.

Venture Night

Venture Night was our first established series and grew out of the UAtech initiative. It gives early-stage founders an opportunity to present their companies, meet investors and build visibility within the international startup ecosystem.

Venture Night events are organised around major general technology conferences in different countries and remain an important part of our founder-focused work.

Finnovation Day

Finnovation Day brings together the people shaping the future of financial services, including leaders from financial institutions, technology companies, payments, blockchain, startups, investment and the wider FinTech ecosystem.

Each edition focuses on a relevant industry question and creates a setting for practical discussion between established companies and emerging technology providers.

Social Impact Day

Social Impact Day is dedicated to technology and entrepreneurship with measurable social value.

The series connects impact-driven startups with investors, corporations, nonprofit organisations and ecosystem leaders interested in building sustainable solutions to social and economic challenges.

Smart Fashion Day

Smart Fashion Day is our newest series at the intersection of fashion, technology and innovation.

Organised in the context of major Fashion Weeks, it brings together fashion brands, technology companies, startups, investors and industry experts to explore how new technologies are changing the sector.

Several additional Event Series are currently in development. We introduce a new series when we see a genuine industry need, a strong subject and the potential to build a sustainable international format — not simply an opportunity to organise another event.

We treat events as products

Our work goes beyond event production. We approach each event as a product that can be researched, designed, tested and continuously improved.

A successful event depends on dozens of interconnected details: the composition of the audience, registration flow, participant selection, format of introductions, stage programme, timing, venue layout, pre-event communication and what happens after people leave the room.

We examine each part of that journey from the perspective of everyone involved — partners, guests, speakers, founders and investors. Specific members of the team are responsible for individual areas of the process, rather than relying on one generalist organiser to manage everything.

Our processes are documented, automated where appropriate, tested in practice and refined after every event. Knowledge is translated into shared systems, tools, data and operating standards rather than remaining with individual team members.

This approach draws directly from our background in technology and product development. As the number of events grows, the objective is to maintain a clear and consistent standard across cities, industries and formats.

For us, event quality should not depend on chance, geography or one person. It should be designed into the process.

A founder’s perspective, supported by product discipline

TechEmbassy was founded by Volodymyr Demianenko, an entrepreneur who has built startups, service companies, digital products, and both online and offline businesses.

His experience of international conferences spans many roles: attending as a guest, exhibiting with a company, pitching as a startup founder and organising events. Seeing the industry from these different perspectives shaped his view of what a professional event should provide — and why many existing formats fall short.

Throughout his entrepreneurial career, Volodymyr has worked closely with software development and product teams across both service businesses and technology startups. That experience in breaking down complex processes, building automation and creating scalable operating systems has become central to the way TechEmbassy works.

His background also includes extensive work with corporate clients such as Nestlé, Unilever and De’Longhi Group. This provided a practical understanding of how large organisations make decisions and what they require from external partners: reliability, transparency, consistency and a clear standard of delivery.

TechEmbassy brings these perspectives together — the experience of a startup founder, a product and technology mindset, an understanding of corporate organisations and direct knowledge of the international conference environment.

The company was built to address a problem its founder had encountered repeatedly, from several sides of the same room.

An international team with local understanding

TechEmbassy is built by a distributed international team covering partnerships, business development, research, marketing, community outreach, startup and investor relations, and event operations.

Different parts of the event journey are owned by specialists with defined responsibilities. This allows each project to be delivered through a coordinated system rather than depending on a single event organiser.

At the same time, an international operating model only works when it reflects local context. We work with regional representatives in key cities who understand their local business environments, venues and professional communities.

Industry ambassadors contribute subject-matter knowledge and established relationships within individual sectors. Industry and ecosystem partners help ensure that our events strengthen existing communities instead of trying to build parallel ones around ourselves.

Together, our central team, regional representatives, industry ambassadors and partners form one operating network — combining international reach with sector expertise and local knowledge.

Partnership is part of the infrastructure

We see every TechEmbassy event as one part of a much larger technology ecosystem.

Our work depends on relationships with conference organisers, accelerators, innovation hubs, investment funds, associations, media, nonprofit initiatives and local communities. For this reason, a significant part of our work is dedicated not only to producing events, but also to developing long-term ecosystem partnerships.

We do not view a partner simply as an organisation that promotes an event or contributes an audience. A partnership must create value in both directions.

Depending on the organisation, that value may involve supporting founders, strengthening a community, reaching a relevant new audience, developing an industry conversation or increasing international visibility. The event works when each participant has a clear role and a practical reason to be involved.

The TechEmbassy network now includes more than 100 ecosystem partners across different countries and regions. These relationships are among the most important assets we have built.

We believe that strong side events are not created separately from the wider ecosystem. They work because they are thoughtfully integrated into it.

Our ambition

Our ambition is to build hundreds of side events around the world that consistently deliver real value.

That means more than generating registrations or visibility. It means creating event products that help founders be heard, enable investors to discover relevant companies, give corporate leaders a focused way to engage with innovation, and support ecosystem organisations in developing their communities.

We aim to work across the world’s major technology centres and key industries while maintaining the same high operating standard across different locations and formats.

For us, scale is not simply the number of events on a map. It is the ability to repeat quality, improve the product continuously and make each event more useful and effective than the last.

That is the global side-event infrastructure we are building at TechEmbassy.
